    Farringdon laptop desk
    Conceived for apartments and small spaces the Farringdon laptop desk features a sliding work-top that can be extended to increase the work surface, while minimizing the footprint of the desk. Awarded for its sleek design and small footprint, the desk has integrated cable management to accommodate laptops or flat screen monitors, external hard drives and phones. The desk sits on solid oak legs, and integrates the sliding worktop and an open shelf for papers. Designed by Leonhard Pfeifer.

    Slope Bed
    Furniture designer Leonhard Pfeifer knows how to perfectly harmonize form and function. The most recent example is the SLOPE bed, which impresses with its harmonious lines as well as its innovative features.

    An example of this innovation is the headboard’s open compartment with integrated push-to-open flaps that conceals power cables to the rear and provides hidden storage space also.

The prestigious Design Guild Mark is awarded to drive excellence and raise the profile of British design and innovation. The Award recognises the highest standards in the design of furniture for volume production, by the finest designers working in Britain.

    Leonhard Pfeifer makes popular furniture that is space-conscious and multifunctional

    You may not know the name Leonhard Pfeifer but it is likely that you—or someone close to you—owns a piece of furniture he created.

    Mr. Pfeifer is an industrial designer, one of the unsung artists who provide stores and manufacturers with the blueprints for the stock they supply. His pared down, space-conscious and multifunctional designs have been produced and carried by brands such Crate & Barrel’s CB2 and the British department store John Lewis.

    John Lewis Design Collective 2012

    The Design Collective showcases the best design talent from the UK and beyond and highlights the John Lewis Partnership commitment to sourcing the highest quality of design for its customers.

    Featured pieces of Pfeifer’s work in the collection included Abbey Wood Living Range (sideboard pictured above), Farringdon Home Office and Eigen Coat Stand.

    Proving to be a popular accent piece the Abbeywood sideboard was originally launched in 2011 in its now distinctive ‘Spring’ colour palette. The complete living collection includes the 3-drawer 2-door sideboard, 9-drawer/door cabinet, large and small cabinets and a tall bookcase.

    The collection has enjoyed a number of additional palette applications including the ‘Winter’ colour palette and an ‘urban luxe’ finish of black stained oak veneer and solid oak new for 2019/20.

    Hinge shelves
    Short listed for the 2012 Wood Awards in Furniture - Production Made category. The Hinge Shelves integrate an oversized hinge detail that portrays the function with clarity and honesty.

    The hinge mechanism allows the unit to pivot from an open position, first to 90 degrees for corner placement and then to double over on itself as a room divider.

    Heals & Sons - ‘Heals Discovers’ 2011

    Leonhard Pfeifer was awarded Furniture Designer of the year.

    Each year Heal’s collated the work of the best up-and-coming UK furniture and homeware designers in an exclusive Heal’s Discovers collection and included our Drum coffee table and lamp table for 2011.

    “This table started off as a lampshade, inspired by the interplay of light and shadow...” says Leonhard Pfeifer.

    Drum Coffee Table and Drum Side Table are produced in Europe from solid oak and oak veneer and are available for wholesale and retail in Europe.
